New updates and improvements to the Genoverse
Below are some of the items the Genopets team has worked on over the past few weeks. We’re pulling back the curtain to show you, fellow Genovians, what goes into making a game.
Note: items below, unless noted, are not final. Most things we share in Status Reports include early renderings, prototypes, or explorations, so please keep that in mind when sharing thoughts.
Alkali is back at it again — the first batch of crafting recipes was released
He could have ulterior motives, but for now, we’ll just enjoy his generosity. Alkali shared his crafting notebook with his personal crafting notes and recipes. But in typical Alkali fashion, there was a catch — some of the pages were ripped out. I wonder if he’s planning on sharing the other pages…?

And now that you know where we’re going, check out what the view looks like — the Genopets team begins testing Augmentation
Below is one of our first unity tests showing eye augmentation—look closely to see the eye change on the pet. Next, we’ll be working on the augment selection and flutter side of the process to help bring greater clarity and personalization to the experience.

We’ll say it again and again, but we’re building an NFT game. This is not your average JPEG. We’re kicking it up a notch with these animations our UI/UX team has been developing that takes converting your Energy to XP to the next level! Each step of the evolution process is becoming more and more amazing. Are you leveling up yet?
A few other highlights:
- Crafting really is coming, we promise! Check out some of the mobile UI screens for crafting a Wing Reagent
- Our team has been working diligently to get Reagents Marketplace ready
- And those Reagents are looking stunning from every angle. Check out this Tail Reagent animation
- Even though the Reagents are STUNNING, you’ll definitely want to put them to use once you check out these Stage 5 Rare Augments
- Our Art Team has got their creative juices flowing. Check out some of the brainstorming designs they’ve been sketching for corrupted Genopets and Genopets that have been turned into sludge
- When your Genopet is feeling musical, make sure to get them some Maracas to get out their creativity with
- And once they’ve performed their concert, they will have certainly earned a delicious Geno-donut
- The Primary Chroma Crystal is 360° of pure perfection in our opinion — check out this early rendering of it spinning!
- Our Devs have been updating account management on Mainframe. Some of the updates they’ve been working on include:
Users with a game account will be able to change the email linked to their game account
Users will be able to unlink their Discord account on Mainframe
Users will be able to change their preferred email address
Users will be able to change the wallet connected to their game account
Our Devs have done immense work updating Habitat Management for batch actions — including refining crystals and repairing Habitats
Our team is currently working on step-tracking optimizations and performance issues related to Android devices
